Shepherd Boy Records began as a collaboration between free-spirited artists and musicians, who just wanted to make great music. The members of Direwood and the Black Tommy Band have created a space where everyone can share ideas and become awesome, together.

For the past decade, major label cartels have had a grip on musicians who hoped to be heard. Now, with the revolutionary technology of the computer age — from stolen software and digital recording — anyone can make music. The catch is that you can home-record bad ass albums alone in your room all day, but very few people actually get to hear them.

Shepherd Boy Records, in conjunction with Totally Suite Industries, is an umbrella for our friends who really want (or need) to express themselves. We are trying to create a music scene out of the fog-covered land of small-town artists and their beloved unspoken hierarchy.

The basic plan is that, whatever you need — a bass player or recording equipment — SBR can help you find it.

Black Tommy is the mastermind behind the label, and the man responsible for tracking and recording. He recently recorded Dave’s solo album, “East Coast Dave Smites Evil” and the newest Direwood album “White Wrapper”. He’s currently working with Hillary Susz for what we believe to be the greatest record on Shepherd Boy so far.
